Charting the regeneration of an urban district – klybeckplus launches a new magazine
The three planning partners – the canton of Basel-Stadt, Swiss Life, and Rhystadt – are launching a magazine to keep the people of Basel informed of how the klybeckplus project is progressing, and to chart the development of the new urban district.
The new magazine documents the transformation process. Besides background articles, a Q&A section on the much-discussed topic of site contamination, and updates on the planning process, the first issue also features contributions from local residents – for example, in the form of interviews and personal tips, or a guided walk through the future neighbourhoods.
With this publication, the planning partners aim to create transparency, encourage further dialogue with the public and provide an insight into how the klybeckplus development project is taking shape.
Invitation to information session in November
The magazine has a circulation of 120,000 copies. In areas with the postcode 4057, the magazine is delivered as a standalone publication; in all other areas, it is distributed as a supplement to ‘Basel Aktuell’.
The first issue of the magazine also serves as an invitation to a public information session on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., at Klybeck 610 on Klybeckplatz, where the canton of Basel-Stadt, Swiss Life, and Rhystadt will present the current status of the planning. The session will focus on the feasibility of the urban planning model and how the quality of this model has been further refined in the ‘Richtprojekt’ (master plan).
