Time to present the ‘Städtebauliches Leitbild’ (urban planning model) – here are the details

Overview of the Klybeck site

Following several months of intensive preparation, the planning partners – the canton of Basel-Stadt, Swiss Life, and Rhystadt – together with the planning teams from Diener & Diener, Vogt Landschaftsarchitekten, and Gruner AG, as well as other experts, can now unveil the ‘Städtebauliches Leitbild’ (urban planning model). They are delighted to be able to present the results of their work to residents of the neighbouring districts and to everyone in Basel. Presentation of the ‘Städtebauliches Leitbild’ (urban planning model) on Tuesday, 20 September 2022
Among other things, the urban planning model outlines how energy supply and public transport links will be organised, where public spaces are located, and what the plans are for preserving certain buildings. In other words, it charts the course for the future of the Klybeck site.

On Tuesday, 20 September 2022, from 6 p.m. to around 8.30 p.m., the planning partners and other experts will present the urban planning model in Building K-314 at the Klybeck site. The entrance to the building is located at Gate 31 on Klybeckplatz (near the ‘Ciba’ tram stop). The event is free of charge and does not require registration.

Following some opening remarks by the president of the Basel-Stadt cantonal government Beat Jans and cantonal councillor Esther Keller, the contents of the urban planning model will be presented by Beat Aeberhard, the cantonal architect, Philipp Fürstenberger, head of KLYBEQ at Swiss Life, and Christian Mutschler, CEO of Rhystadt.

Afterwards, everyone is warmly invited to learn more at the various information points. And there will be plenty of food and drink on offer too.

Invitation to the summer party at Klybeckplatz
The Klybeckplatz team is organising a big summer party at Klybeckplatz on Saturday 27 August 2022. As well as getting to know one another and enjoying each other’s company, you can get involved, create things and have fun – all in the spirit of klybeckplus. The ‘Let’s get creative’ get-together gives every creative mind the space and time to present and bring their own ideas to life, as well as meeting like-minded people.

The summer party will take place from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., offering a relaxed setting in which to discuss ideas and specific plans. Public participants who have already carried out their own projects on Klybeckplatz will also be there to provide further insights into their work if asked.

We look forward to seeing you again.
